More Owls..

If you haven't entered into my Valentine's Blog Candy yet, make sure to check out this post!! You only have until Sunday night to enter!!

Here is another card that I had made with the Owl stamp from the new stamp set by Hero Arts. This is one of the cards for my "Hero Arts Owls" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To see the other cards, please click here. This class is scheduled for:

Tuesday, February 3rd, 11 am to 2:30 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

This card measures 6" x 6".

I used one of the new stamps, the branch, from Memory Box on this card along with the Owl and the greeting is from A Muse. The branch was stamped along the edges on all of the layers on this card, I just love the look it has created. The moon was reversed masked and sponged.

--------***--------***--------***--------***--------***-------

Tonight I will tell you about the punches and some stamps that we had ordered at CHA for Cranberry Hill Mercantile.

Do you know those ever so popular and impossible to find Martha Steward punches? The ones that Michael's only gets three of in stock and if you are not the lucky one to be there when they put them on the shelves, you have to search high and low to find them on Ebay for $45? Fear no more!! Cranberry Hill will now carry a full line of Martha Steward punches!! We had ordered border punches too, have you seen the new Easter ones? CUTE!!

From EK Success we had ordered scalloped circle punches just like the ones from Stampin' Up, but we got them in two different sizes. Also different corner and swirl punches..

From Tonic.. We had finally found the company that make a ticket punch!! And this is two punches in one, it has a ticket punch on one side and the tag punch on another!!

Cranberry Hill will also carry a huge assortment of Just Rite stamps, aren't those just awesome! So many options!! Unlimited possibilities!! Here are a few photos of the samples from their booth.

And, if you like the vintage style, we are getting stamps from the Crafty Secrets.. Their designers did such an awesome job with the samples, they were just gorgreous!!

More tomorrow..

Hugs,
:) Irina

2009 Calendar with Tilda- AUGUST plus some CHA chat..

Click here if you have not entered into my blog candy yet. There are only a few days left to enter, don't miss out!!

First I will show you the pages that I had made for my Tilda Calendar, these are for August. These are for my class at Cranberry Hill. In this class we will make the calendar pages for the months of July and August. To see all the pages we had done so far, please click here.

This class is scheduled for:

Saturday, January 31st, 2 pm to 5 pm
Wednesday, February 4th, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class or to purchase a kit.

I used new paper from Making Memories on these pages. It is from the Valentine's Day collection but I think it worked out just great for the August page. It looks like a hot summer day to me..

All of these Magnolia stamps (Tilda in the swimming suit, clouds and the bench) as well as the paper are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can place your order online or over the phone at 408-736-9151 during the business hours.

-----***-----***-----***-----***------***-----***----

Now.. a few words about the CHA.. I am very excited about all the new products that Cranberry Hill Mercantile will be carrying at the store!! I can't wait until the boxes start arriving!!

Even though Provocraft did not release any embossing folders or die cuts for Cuttlebug at CHA, QuickCutz did!! We had ordered 9 new embossing folders, they are the same size and the same price as the ones from Provocraft and are very CUTE!! We had also ordered some die cuts from them.. And, guess who?? Spellbinders has release a line called Embossebilites, these are the thin metal plates for embossing and they had release four designs (we had ordered all four of them, of course!!). Also from Spellbinders are the new Nestabilites, great shapes.

Paper.. So many new designs!! We had ordered paper from at least 8 different companies. The new one is from the company called Graphic 45, their paper is amazing!! You won't believe your eyes, you really have to touch it to realize that what you see is the paper and not a piece of fabric. This paper should be arriving within a few weeks.

I really loved the new paper from My Minds Eye.. and the guys working at the booth were too adorable ;) . I even scored some free paper to take home with me.. I know the photo below does not tell you much, but you have to trust me on this one, this paper is to die for!! And, Geri had ordered the full line of the one on the photo, all of it!!! The paper, the stickers, the tags, the clear frames and even the display rack!!

The Little Yellow Bicycle had a super adorable baby line, we had ordered paper and the chipboard albums in pinks and blues..

Doodlebug had some really CUTE cupcake paper and their booth looked so yummy :) ..

More news from the CHA tomorrow..

Hugs,
:) Irina

Back from CHA and some cards

If you haven't entered into my Valentine's Blog Candy yet, make sure to check out this post!!

Just got back home from CHA!! It was a great trip and I saw a lot of exciting things!! We have ordered so much for the store (Cranberry Hill Mercantile), I just can't wait for the boxes to start arriving. We are bringing some new companies to Cranberry Hill. I am sure you'll love them!! I will tell you more in a few next days.. too tired right now..

I know I had promised that I would have some posts for you while I was gone.. But.. I had not finished them on time before we left and even though Gerri had brought her laptop, we did not have an Internet access at the place we were staying. So today I will show you the two of the four cards that I had made with the Hero Arts Owls stamps right before we left.. These are the cards for my upcoming card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile.

This class is scheduled for:

Friday, January 30th, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Tuesday, February 3rd, 11 am to 2:30 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

I am usually not really into the owls.. into the other birds, yes.. but not the owls.. But, when I saw these newly released stamps from Hero Arts, I absolutely fell in love with them!! Don't they look funny and adorable at the same time!!?? And, by the way it seems that owls are very "in" this year, almost every company at CHA had some stamps and/or paper with owls. They might just start growing on me more and more.

First card.. This card measures 4 1/2" x 6". I think this must be the easiest card I have made in a long time. The only things that I have done on the front of the card is to add brown brads to the centers of the flowers on the printed paper by Daisy Bucket and the punched corners. The Owl was stamped on the brown cardstock with black ink, cut out and placed on the card with the pop up dots.. Easy peasy.. The large owl is from the "Four Stylish Owls" stamp set, the Greeting on the front of the card as well as the stump and the smaller owl inside of the card are from the "The Hoot" stamp set. Both are from Hero Arts.

inside view..

Second card.. This card measures 6" x 6". Paper is from the same sheet of the printed paper from Daisy Bucket that I have used on the card above.. The owl is from the same stamp set and the greeting is from A Muse. Of course I could not resist and added the googly eyes to the owls on both cards :) Too cute!!

Inside view..

Now I am going to put my feet up and get some rest, maybe some TV time.. My Tivo must be full with the shows that I had recorded :)

Till tomorrow..

I am going to CHA!!

Before I start with this post, I want to remind you about my Valentine's Day Blog Candy. Here is the link . You have until February 1st to enter.

It was so sweet of Geri, the owner of Cranberry Hill Mercantile, to ask me to join her for a trip to CHA. We are leaving this morning at a crack of dawn, well.. anytime before 9 am is a crack of dawn for me ;-) . It will be a pretty long drive but well worth it!! This will be my first time at the show and I am very excited to see all the new products that will be released in the near future. And, I hope I get to meet some of my blogging friends in person.. Really looking forward to it!!

I am not bringing a computer, but Geri is.. If we can get an Internet connection at the place where we are staying, I might even treat you to some photos..

I made a few cards and the August calendar pages within a few last days and had scheduled them to get posted while I am gone.. Just making sure you won't miss me much :-) .

Ovals were cut and embossed with Nestabilites, stamped the script inside of the pink oval. Flowers from Prima, and the green vines that you see under the flowers are the Cuttlebug corners. Liquid Pearl for the centers of the flowers. Tilda was stamped with Memento ink on Bazzil Coconut Swirl cardstock, colored with Copics and cut out. To add some sparkle I used Sakura Gel Pen in StarDust. To make the hearts shiny, I used Liquid Applique.

Tilda, Be My Valentine..

Finally we got a shipment from Magnolia!! Oh, I love the new Valentine's Day collection so much!! And tonight I got to play with some of my new stamps!!

This is the first card for my upcoming "Valentine's Day Tilda" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, January 29th, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, January 29th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

This card measures 6" x 6"..

I used five (!!) stamps from the Valentine Collection on this card: Tilda with Letter, Old Valentine Letter (script background), Be My Valentine (on the tag), Love Post and Post - 14 Feb..

All the designer paper on this card is by Basic Grey. Paper flowers are from Hero Arts.

I even made an envelo-box for my card!! When I saw one on Claudia's blog, I knew I had to have this tool!! The scoring board to make the envelopes is called Enveloper and Cranberry Hill Mercantile just got them in stock!! It is so cool, you can make not only different size envelopes but also the envelo-boxes for the thicker cards with a lot of dimension.

If you would like to purchase some or all of these stamps and/or the Enveloper, please give Cranberry Hill Mercantile a call at 408-736-9151 during the business hours to place your order and it will be shipped to you. Some of the stamps are even available to purchase on-line, here is the link.

when I see you, my eyes turn into little hearts..

Isn't this the cutest sentiment ever??!! I just LOVE it!! I combined it with the Sheep from Magnolia. I think this works, what do you think? And, somehow I have managed to make a simple regular A2 size card (insert huge grin here, I am pretty proud of myself!!).

This is the third and the last card for my upcoming "Valentine's Day Card Class" at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To view the other two cards please scroll to the two posts below or click here and here.

Sorry about the blurry picture, I have tried four times already to take and upload the photo of the front of the card, but each time it comes out somewhat out of focus.. I give up..

Close up..

Inside of the card..

The red layer was stamped with the Hearts background, you might have to click on the photos to enlarge them to see it. The Sheep was colored with the Copic Markers. I used the Scor-Pal to dry emboss the frame around the sentiment. Oh, and it is a ribbon on the bottom of the card not the layer of the cardstock..

Background stamp is from Hero Arts. The sentiment stamp is from Inkadinkado. The Sheep is from Magnolia (the company that makes Tilda stamps). The greeting inside of the card is from the clear stamp set by The Paper Company called "Hugs + Kisses".

This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, January 22nd, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, January 22nd, 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

Hugs + Kisses

OK, honesty, I tried to make a regular size card today. Didn't happened. At least not yet, the day is not over and I will give it another try..

This is the second card for my upcoming Valentine's Day card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To see the first card please scroll to the post below or click here. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, January 22nd, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, January 22nd, 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

Inside of the card..

Hearts are from the same stamp set that I used on the previous card, "An Affair of the Heart" by Inkadinkado. The hearts were stamped on the pink paper with red ink and then cut out. I don't think you can see on the photo, but two of the hears are popped up on dimensionals. Circles were cut and embossed with Nestabilites. Corners are Cuttlebug die cuts. The greeting inside of the card is from clear stamp set by The Paper Company called "Hugs + Kisses".

I am in the process of making a third card for this class, this one will be more whimsical..

:) Irina

Be Mine

Tonight I decided to take a brake from Tilda and make a Valentine's Day card for my upcoming card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. I think we will make three different cards in this class, maybe even four if I can challenge myself to make a few of the simple ones. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, January 22nd, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, January 22nd, 4:30 pm to 8:00 pm

Please call
Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

This is a 6" x 6" card.. again.. I know, I know.. I have been already asked at my classes to make some regular size cards, I will try tomorrow.. I promise..

Close-up..

Inside of the card..

I used one of my favorite layouts on this card, there is just something about those squares that is very appealing to me. Small pink squares were embossed with Swiss Dots Cuttlebug folder. Cuttlebug dies for the corners. Squares for the main images were cut and embossed with Nestabilites. I stamped the main image twice, cut out just the heart from the second one and then pasted it over the image.

Greeting is from A Muse, after I stamped the greeting I stamped the heart in pink over it. The heart as well as all the other stamps on this card are from the Inkadinkado clear stamp set called "An Affair of the Heart".

I will be making more Valentine's Day cards tomorrow, come back to check them out.

2009 Calendar with Tilda- JUNE

Here are the June pages for the Tilda Calendar. These calendar pages are for my classes at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. At each class we make pages for two months and then at the last class we will make a cover and will bind the calendar together. I am very anxious to see how the whole project will turn out. If you would like to see the previous pages/months please click here.

I also have a few kits still available for purchase, but there are only six left!! Each kit contains everything to complete the pages for the two months, January/February, March/April, May/June, and so on.. Just like taking the classes!! The only difference is that I will have to do most of the work for you, I will pre-cut the paper, punch, emboss, stamp, etc. everything for you. The only thing you will have to do is to have fun! - color the images (the list of the recommended colors will be included) and to put everything together. The cost of each kit is the same as the cost of the class, $28. To purchase the kit/s please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151during the business hours.

Now.. onto the pages.. Each page measures 6 1/2" X 6", half an inch on each side is left for binding..

Printed paper is from Imagenisce. Tilda and the Sun were stamped with Tuxedo Black Memento ink, colored with Copic Markers, and then cut out. Scallops on the striped border were done with Fiskars border punch. All of the ovals were cut and embossed with Nestabilites. Sponged "clouds" inside of the white oval behind Tilda. Scalloped corners are the punched scalloped circles cut in four pieces. White Gel Pen on all the scallops and for the highlights on Tilda and the Sun. Orange Stickles on the Sun and Crystal Stickles on Tilda's dress and the hair ties. With one of the sides of the Stampendous Flower Cube I stamped the flowers in yellow ink all over the calendar. "June" is from the Inkadinkado "Months and Days" clear stamp set.

Both of Magnolia stamps used on this card, Tilda in Lace Skirt and the Sun, are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can either place your order online, or give store a call at 408-736-9151 to place your order. Not all of the stamps are available online at this time (we are in the process of adding more).

This class is scheduled for:

Sunday, January 18th, 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm
Wednesday, January 21st, 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

Feather of a Peacock

I made this card sometimes last week with one of the stamps from Rubber Romance. I was making this card for the "Rubber Romance Peacocks" class, but not really happy with the way this one has turned out.. I think this card has way too much going on, even for me ;-) .. So, I did not include it in the class, but I thought I would show it to you anyways..

This is a huge card, it measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2".

I created background with the die inks and the Encore ink, this technique is called Polished Stone. The feather was heat embosssed with black embossing powder. The greeting is from Lizzie Anne Designs stamp set.

I still do love this gorgeous stamp, one day I will pull it out again and see if I can come up with something better.. but this is what it is for now.

If you would like to purchase this stamp, please give Cranberry Hill Mercantile a call at 408-736-9151 during the business hours to place your order and it will be shipped to you.

Here is the second card for my upcoming "Birthday Tilda" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. This class is scheduled for:

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

This card measures 6" x 6".

Close-up..

Inside view..

Everything that I have used on the front of this card is from collections that are intended to be other then Birthday. The printed polka dots paper is from Halloween Collection by Imaginisce, Tilda and the Present are from the Christmas Collection by Magnolia. But don't they look good together on the Birthday card?? I think so!! Of course I had to add stickles to pretty much everything to make it more festive ;-) .. On the inside of the card I used the stamps from Hero Arts clear stamp set called Celebrate All.

All the supplies used to make this card including Tilda and the Present stamps are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can even place an order online, here is the link or call the store at 408-736-9151 during business hours to place an order and it will be shipped to you.

How to Count your Blessings..

I was checking out Linda's blog and she had this posted a few days ago.. I just loved this list!! and wanted to share with all of you.. I am going to print this out and put it right in front of my computer as a reminder..

I will be back in a few hours with the card :)

And here is the list:

1. Take a 10-30 minute walk every day. And while you walk, smile. It is the ultimate anti-depressant.
2. Sit in silence for at least 10 minutes each day. Buy a lock if you have to.
3. Buy a DVR. Tape your late night shows and get more sleep.
4. When you wake up in the morning complete the following statement, "My purpose is to__________ _ today."
5. Live with the 3 E’s — Energy, Enthusiasm, Empathy.
6. Watch more movies, play more games and read more books than you did in 2008.
7. Make time to practice meditation, yoga, tai chi, and prayer. They provide us with daily fuel for our busy lives.
8. Spend more time with people over the age of 70 and under the age of 6.
9. Dream more while you are awake.
10. Eat more foods that grow on trees and plants and eat less food that is manufactured in plants.
11. Drink green tea and plenty of water. Eat blueberries, wild Alaskan salmon, broccoli, almonds & walnuts.
12. Try to make at least three people smile each day.
13. Clear your clutter from your house, your car, your desk and let new and flowing energy into your life.
14. Don’t waste your precious energy on gossip, energy vampires, issues of the past, negative thoughts or things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment.
15. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
16. Eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a college kid with a maxed out charge card.
17. Smile and laugh more. It will keep the energy vampires away.
18. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good.
19. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
20. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
21. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
22. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
23. Don’t compare your life to others’. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
24. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, and wear the fancy lingerie (not you guys.) Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
25. No one is in charge of your happiness except you.
26. Frame every so-called disaster with these words: "In five years, will this matter?"
27. Forgive everyone for everything.
28. What other people think of you is none of your business.
29. Time heals almost everything. Give it time, time.
30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
31. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends will. Stay in touch.
32. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
33. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
34. The best is yet to come.
35. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
36. Do the right thing!
37. Call your family often.
38. Each night before you go to bed complete the following statements: "I am thankful for __________." Today I accomplished _________.
39. Remember that you are too blessed to be stressed.
40. Enjoy the ride. Remember that this is not Disney World and you certainly don’t want a fast pass. You only have one ride through life so make the most of it and enjoy the ride.

May your troubles be less, May your blessings be more. And may nothing but happiness come through your door!

If you missed the "January/February" class there are a few kits still available. Click here to see January pages and here for February.

OK, so here are the pages. Each page measures 6" x 6 1/2".

I think so far this is my favorite month of the calendar. Just look at these pages!! ADORABLE!!! I just LOVE IT!! If I can say that myself ;) .

I also LOVE!! this printed paper from Cosmo Cricket!! I knew I would use it for Easter pages or cards with Tilda, just TOO CUTE!! I punched out the chicks from the paper and then layered them onto the circles. The smaller circles where punched out from the same paper. Tilda was colored with Copic Markers.

I know I said way too much "LOVE" and "CUTE" today, too many words in CAPITAL LETTERS and probably placed way too many exclamation marks.. I am just too excited about the way these pages have turned out and about the way the calendar is coming along :)

This Tilda stamp will be available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile, it should be there pretty soon.. I know the order has been already shipped from Sweden. You can call the store at 408-736-9151 during the business hours to place an order and it will be shipped to you right away once the stamps arrive.

Blog Candy Winner plus Birthday Tilda card

A quick note before I start with my post.. I drew the winning number for the blog candy right after 9 pm, but because of the issues with my computer, couldn't post it to the blog until just now.. Sorry for the delay..

WOW!! That's all I can say.. 235 comments!!!

Thank you SO MUCH to everyone for such wonderful comments and all the Birthday wishes!! Let's do this again next year for my Birthday when I turn 35 one more time ;-) .

I had great time with my friends on my birthday, there were 15 (!!!) people at my birthday party. Beside the gifts, I received a lot of handmade birthday cards from my friends. I will take photos of the cards within a few days and will post them on my blog for everyone to see.

Back to the Blog Candy... I used random.org to generate the number and the lucky number tonight is LUCKY 7!! Lucky for Melissa and so lucky for me, I didn't have to count through all of the comments ;-) .

Here is Melissa's comment:

"Melissa said...
Happy 35th birthday - again! LOL! I hope you have a wonderful day!"

Congratulations Melissa!! Please email me your address and I will send the package out your way.

Now onto the card.. This is one of the cards for my upcoming "Birthday Tilda" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. Now, with Christmas being over, I sure seem to make a lot of Birthday cards..

This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, January 15th, 11:00 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, January 15th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

To sign up for the class, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151.

This card measures 6" x 6".

I had my eye on this paper from Heidi Grace Designs for a looong time.. I just love these cute houses!! Finally I got a chance to use it on a card. Tilda was stamped with Black Tuxedo Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers. I then added Twinkling H2O's over Copics for the shimmer. Ovals were cut with Nestabilites. To create the corners I punched out the circles and cut them out in quarters, I used Marvy punches - blue scalloped circle and yellow circle punch. Sentiment is from Lizzie Anne Designs.

Also, because of the issues with my computer, it didn't save the photo of the inside of the card. It is 2:40 am right now, and I am waaaay too tired to take another photo.. So.. you will just have to trust me on this one.. It is cute!!

Edited to add.. This morning I got to take another photo of the inside of the card to show you how it looks like. And here it is!! I told you it is CUTE ;-)

All the supplies used to make this card are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. If you would like to purchase this Tilda with Balloons stamp, you can do it online here or call the store at 408-736-9151 during the business hours.

Hugs,
:) Irina
