Magenta Daisy and the Butterfly

This is one of my favorite stamps from the new Magenta release. Just like the leafs on the Tree on the previous card (see here), the daisy has design inside of the petals. I just LOVE it!!

This is the third card for my "Magenta" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. For the other two cards please click here and here. This class is scheduled for:

Saturday, February 28th, 12 pm to 3 pm
Tuesday, March 24th, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

This card measures 6" x 6".

The colors of this card look much brighter in real life and the color of the flowers actually matches the color of the blue cardstock. I really have to figure out the settings on my camera and maybe a placement of the lights too for my light box.. I will play with it sometimes when I have time ;-) .

Image was stamped with brown StazOn ink and colored with Prisma pencils. The butterfly was stamped once more and then I cut it out and placed it over the main image for the dimension. I then added Crystal Effects to all of the colored images. This stamp is called Deco Daisy 40.278.M and is available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile, if you don't live in the area you can call the store at 408-736-9151 to place your order.

Printed paper is from the My Minds Eye and I stamped the swirls over in red ink. Corners were made with my new favorite punch by EK Success called Photo Corners Fancy.

Hugs,
:) Irina

I fell in love with this stamp when I first saw it at the Magenta booth at the CHA, there is just something special about it..

This is one of the cards for my "Magenta" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To see the other card please click here. This class is scheduled for:

Saturday, February 28th, 12 pm to 3 pm
Tuesday, March 24th, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

This card measures 6" x 6".

Close-up, see the shimmer from the Pearlesent watercolors?

Inside of the card..

I heat embossed the image on the designer paper from Graphic 45, colored it with the Pearlascent watercolors (it looks really nice in real life) and then cut out. Background designer paper is from Graphic 45 as well. White square was paper pierced and all of the layers were sponged with the green ink from Memento.

This Magenta stamp is called Deco Tree 40.297.P and is available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can even call the store at 408-736-9151 to place your order and it will be shipped to you.

Butterflies were stamped with red ink on the pink polka dot paper. Stamps are from Penny Black. Designer paper is by Bo Bunny.

Finally!! Tilda Calendar Cover!!

I can't believe it!! My Tilda Calendar is finally done!! Here are the photos of the front and back of the calendar with all the pages binded together with the Bind-It-All machine. I had to use the largest coil available, 1 1/4".

Even though I did not use any pop up dots or any dimensional embellishments on the pages of the calendar, because of all the layers it turned out to be pretty thick and heavy. But how cool is that??!! Every single page has a different Tilda image along with the calendar!! LOVE IT!!

This gorgeous Designer Paper is by My Minds Eye, it is double sided and I used both sides of the paper. Red scalloped circles were done with Nestabilites, cut and embossed. The scalloped circles with the images were punched out with Blue Marvy punch.

If you would like to see the photos of every page, please click here.

All the Tilda stamps used on the pages of this calendar are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can place your order online or call the store at 408-736-9151 during the business hours.

Merci

This is the third card for my upcoming "Scor-Pal, Cuttlebug and Nestabilites" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. We will make three cards at this class, to see the other two cards please click here. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, February 26th, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, February 26th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

This card measures 6" x 6".

Grid on the background was created with the Scor-Pal. Ovals were cut and embossed with Nestabiltes. Main image was heat embossed, the stamp is from the clear stamp set from Inkadinkado. Sentiment was heat embossed as well, the circles were punched out with EK Success punches. And, once again, I used the EK Success Fancy Corners punch :-) .

All the supplies used on this card are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can even call the store at 408-736-9151 during the business hours to place your order and it will be shipped to you.

For You

First of, I would like to announce that if you wanted to take my Sympathy Cards class, but wasn't able to attend, I had scheduled an additional one for Sunday, March 1st, 12 pm to 3 pm. To see the cards, please click here. Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

OK, now onto the new cards.. These will be card one and card two for my upcoming "Scor-Pal, Cuttlebug and Nestabilites" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. We will make three cards at this class, and I am still working on the third one. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, February 26th, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, February 26th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

Both of these cards look much better in real life. I had hard time taking photos of the cards because of the shimmer of the metallic cardstock, and doing it at 2 o'clock in the morning sure did not help..

These cards measure 6" x 6".

I created the grid on the background with the Scor-Pal. The Butterflies are from the Cuttlebug die-cut and emboss combo set. Dew Drops on the butterflies bodies. The sentiment is by Hero Arts, embossed with White Embossing Powder. Circles were cut and embossed with Nestabilites. Corners are the punch by EK Success called Photo Corners Fancy.

This card wanted to stay "simple" and I just had to let it be ;-) . I wanted to make this style card for a long time!! I used Nestabilites Label One dies on this card, just LOVE THEM!! First I created the opening with the largest die in the set (cut and embossed), then I cut and embossed another shape with the second larger die and heat embossed the image in the center. Then I placed the layer with the image in the center of the card, that created the illusion of the frame but really the gold that you see is showing from the bottom layer through the opening. Hope this makes sense.. The stamp is from Inkadinkado. The corners were done with the same punch, I think I found my new favorite..

Hugs,
:) Irina

Close up..

Inside view..

As I promised, I am back to edit this post to add some details about this card.. The stamps that I have used are from Magenta, Tulip Bouguet 14.601.P and Vintage Letter 95.214.M. Both of these stamps have been ordered and should be available soon at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can even call the store at 408-736-9151 to place an order. The greeting stamp is from Hero Arts. As I already mentioned, the designer paper is from Graphic 45 and this collection is called Botanicabella. Corners are the Photo Corners Fancy punch from EK Success. Paper and the corner punch are also available at Cranberry Hill Mercantile.

The Tulips were stamped on the designer paper and heat embossed with the Black Embossing powder. I cut and embossed the oval with Nestabilites and then used Nestabilites as a stencil to add shading around the image. The Tulips were colored with the Pearlascent watercolors.

2009 Calendar with Tilda- OCTOBER

ONLY A FEW HOURS LEFT TO ENTER INTO MY CHA BLOG CANDY!! HURRY!!! Details here.

Yesterday I showed you September pages for my Tilda Calendar (to view scroll down to the post below or click here), and today here are the October pages. If you would like to take this class, there are still a few spots left for the class on Wednesday. Please call Cranberry Hill at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

One of the great things about making a calendar is that in a short period of time you get to use so many different images from all seasons. Of course I had to do Halloween pages for the month of October. I really love this Witch Tilda, but didn't get a chance to make a card with her last year..

Tilda was stamped inside of the Nestabilites oval and colored with Copic Markers. I then used Nestabilites as a stencil and sponged purple ink inside of the oval. Pumpkins were stamped, colored and cut out. Orange Peel stickles on Tilda's broom and the pumpkins. I used Spica pen in Clear Star to add sparkle to Tilda's hair, hat and her shoes (I don't think you can see it on the photos, but it is there..). Designer paper is from Imagenisce.

All of the Magnolia stamps I used on these pages (Spiderweb, Halloween Pumpkins and Tilda with Spiderweb) are from the Halloween and Autumn Collection and are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. They are not shown on the website, but you can call the store at 408-736-9151 during the business hours to place your order.

Just on time for the class this morning ; ) I had finished the September and October pages for my Tilda Calendar. This class is scheduled for:

Wednesday, February 11th, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call
Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

These pages measure 6" x 6 1/2". Half an inch of the cardstock on the sides will be used to bind all the pages together to create a calendar. This Tilda is called Tilda with Slate and she is from So Heavenly collection. Isn't she just the cutest in the paper pieced plaid skirt?

To make the chalkboard, I sponged a little bit of the white ink onto the black cardstock and stamped the numbers in white ink. I used the woodgrain stamp from Hero Arts on the light brown cardstock to make it look like it's made of wood. Designer paper is from Basic Grey.

This Tilda stamp (Tilda with Slate from So Havenly Collection) is available at Cranberry Hill Mercantile, you can either place your order online or call the store at 408-736-9151 during the business hours.

Christmas in February? Why not?

Starting this month, I will be teaching at least one class with Christmas cards each month. I LOVE making Christmas cards, and this will give us a big head start.

This class is scheduled for:

Saturday, February 7th, 12 pm to 3 pm
Tuesday, February 10th, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

I had a really hard time taking photos of these cards.. First of all, it is after three o'clock in the morning and also because of the shimmer and gloss on the paper. These cards definitely look MUCH better in real life. In fact, I am very happy how they have turned out.. If you click on the pictures below, they will enlarge and you might be able to see the details better.

I call the card below "White Elegance". White metallic paper by Bazzil, the Poinsettia stamp is from Penny Black (Sandy, thank you for helping me pick up this stamp today!!). Poinsettia was heat embossed with the gold embossing powder and then colored with the Pearlascent watercolors. This card measures 6" x 6".

Edited to add.. I got quite a few questions about this card today, so I decided to take a minute and answer all of them here.. This card is very simple, really.. I used white pearlasent cardstock for the card base and all off the layers. There are three squares on the front of the card, the main image was heat embossed on the smallest one and then I used Scor-Pal to dry emboss the frame around on its perimeter, that creates the illusion of an additional layer. The swirly things are the negative parts of the Cuttlebug corner die cut (I used the corners on the inside of the card). Hope this answers your questions.. :)

On the second card I used one of my favorite Magenta stamps, LOVE IT!! This stamp is called Santa and Child, 95.164L. Since the image has such an "old world" feel, I used the Cracked Glass technique on this card. Noel stamp is by Penny Black. This card measures 4 1/2" x 6".

And, don't forget about my CHA Blog Candy. For details and to enter, please visit this post.

Hugs,
:) Irina
