Love Is The Message

Happy New Year Everyone!!! I hope you all are having a wonderful Holiday Season!!! Tomorrow early morning I am off to Disneyland with my best friend to celebrate my 40th Birthday!! What else can a girl wish for!! I know we are going to have a lot of FUN!!!

Between laundry and packing for Disneyland I have managed to make a card today, a first card of this year. This is the second card for my upcoming "Penny Black Valentine" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To see the first card please click here. We will make three cards in this class, I have not made the third card yet, but I already know what stamp I am using. It's going to be more on a cutesy side then the first two cards. This class is scheduled for:

Saturday, January 9th, 12 pm to 3 pm
Thursday, January 28th, 11 am to 2 pm
Thursday, January 28th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Please bring your Cuttlebug, foam tape and your favorite adhesive to this class. All other supplies will be provided.

$30, 10 participants max.

Designer paper is from BoBunny Christmas Collection, can you believe it? I just thought that this deep red color with the design on it would work perfectly for Valentine's Day. The heart stamp is from Penny Black, it is called Love is The Message, 4023K. The heart was heat embossed in gold. Borders are from the clear stamp set by Hampton Arts called Blooming Memories. Cuttlebug Corners.

Tropical Sunrise

Flower stamps used on this card are from the same clear stamp set by Hampton arts that I have used on the two previous cards for this class, it is called Blooming Memories. The palm leafs are from the Chanquito stamp set by Stampendous.

Flight of a Humming Bird

This card measures 6" x 6"..





Instead of stamping images on the plain cardstock, this time I stamped them on the designer paper instead. This gives an instant background and creates a "collage" type of feel. This paper is from Basic Grey and is the same paper that I have used to make this card, can you believe it?

The Humming Bird stamp is by Inkadinkado, 92647-X. The image was stamped and embossed, and then I used my new favorite medium, Smooch, to color in the bird. The Smooch gives the images nice shine with the pearl accent. I used Smooch in Green Apple and Pumpkin colors.

Flower stamp is by Penny Black called Leopard's Bane, 3873F. The flowers were stamped and embossed. I added gold microbeads in the centers of the flowers.

The main layer was sponged with yellow and orange inks to give it some depth.

The nice accents on the large layer are from the same stamp set that I have used to make this card, it is by Hampton Arts and is called Blooming Memories.

The filigree corners are the Cuttlebug die cuts.

The Pink Moon

I made this card is for my upcoming "Emboss Resist" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile, I call this card "The Pink Moon". I really love the results you can achieve with the emboss resist technique and am very pleased with the way this card has turned out. In the class we will make three cards, all different designs. Believe me, the card actually looks so much better in real life.. I used Bling Bazzill Cardstock for the background and Metallic Cardstock for the corners.. I still have problems showing the real colors on the pictures when photographing shiny surfaces..

All the stamps used on this card are from the clear stamp set by Hampton Arts called Blooming Memories. The images were embossed and then I sponged the moon and the sky around it. Since I didn't have Liquid Pearls in pink, I used the white Liquid Pearls in the centers of all the flowers. After Liquid Pearls had dried, I added color with the Copic Marker. The corners are the Cuttlebug die cuts, I added Pink Pearls from Making Memories to the corners.
