JustRite Gift Set

I was planning on doing a Gift Set class with the cards and some kind of container for them, and then I came across the template by a very talented Lauren Meader available through Papertreyink. It was just perfect for my project, and I didn't have to "reinvent the wheel".

This project is for my "JustRite Gift Set" class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. I am making another set with the different paper with the butterflies and at the class ladies will have a choice. I will show the other one on my blog tomorrow. At the class we will make the box and six cards. The template and the assembly instructions for the box will be included with the class supplies. This class is scheduled:

Thursday, May 7th, 11 am to 2 pm
Thursday, May 7th, 4:30 to 7:30 pm
Tuesday, May 19th, 12 pm to 3 pm

The cost of this class is $30.00. Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

Also, for those of you who cannot attend the class or if you don't live in the area or if you are coming to the class but would like to make more then one set, this set will also be available as the Class Kit. Each Class Kit will include all pre-cut and scored materials, stamped and cut monograms, box template and instructions. The cost of the kit is $35.00. To purchase the kit, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151. Please make sure to specify the initial for the monogram. This Class Kit is available for a limited time, only until May 19th.

I took tons of photos to show you the details.. Sorry about the last photo (of the envelopes) being sideways, for some reason it uploaded like that to the blogger and I couldn't rotate it..

This was also the first time that I used JustRite stamps, LOVE IT!! You might ask why I choose "G" for the initial on this sample set.. This set was made with my dear friend and the store owner of Cranberry Hill, Geri, in mind. She LOVES cherries, so it was just very fitting, very her :-)

The circles for the monogram were cut and embossed with Nestabilites. The scallops on the bottom of the box were made with the Martha Stewart border punch. The absolutely gorgeous paper is from Graphic 45.

I just love, love, love how this set has turned out!! It would look great on anyone's desk and would make a great present!!

Oh, and one more thing.. Don't forget to enter into my Blog Candy, here is the link.

Fabulous Butterfly

Sorry about not keeping my promise to post this card last night.. My computer has been acting up. Who has time for that kind of interference with the important things like blogging??

This is the second card for my upcoming "Butterfly Tilda" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To see the first card please click http://everythingpapercrafts.blogspot.com/2009/04/tilda-and-edwin-cathing-butterflies.html. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, April 30th, 11 am to 2:00 pm
Thursday, April 30th, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Sunday, May 24th, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class.

Oh, and if you can't make it to the class but would like to make two of these cards, please call Cranberry Hill at 408-736-9151 to purchase the Class Kit.

This card measures 6" x 6".

I am working on having more contrast on my colored images.. The colors actually look much softer and more blended in real life then on the photo. I guess now I will have to adjust the settings on my camera too..

The Butterfly Tilda is from the new Butterfly collection from Magnolia. This stamp is available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can place your order online (here is the link) or call the store during business hours at 408-736-9151 to place your order.

Gorgeous Designer Paper is by My Minds Eye. The blue and the lined layers are the two sides of the same paper. The sentiment is by Hero Arts. I made the flowers the same way as on the card that I posted a few days.. Punched out scalloped circles and then cut into every scallop to make the petals.

Now, this is only for those who are interested to hear about my first workout on the treadmill in almost two years.. Do you know what the hardest part is about starting working out again? Starting and keeping up!! I used one of the pre-set programs on the treadmill, and it was "hilly".. It was actually pretty cool because I didn't have to change the speed or the incline, it was doing it on it's own.. The pre-set work out lasted 30 minutes, and by the end I was definitely huffing and puffing. I definitely feel my body being sore today, but it is a great feeling!! I will try my best to get on it at least 5 times a week..

Hugs!!

Daisies in the Window

OK, I finally have to admit it to myself (I am pretty sure you all know this already), I cannot make a card with less then four layers!! You won't believe how many changes this poor card has went through... This is the third card for my upcoming "April Showers bring May Flowers" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. Since the other two cards are kind of time consuming, this card was supposed to be very simple and fast to make.. Just when I thought I was done with the design of the card and was adhering the layers inside, I have decided that the white layer will look nice on the front of the card as well.. So, here I went again taking my card apart.. I also added the polka dot corner to look like a curtain (maybe?).. I like it so much better now!! It is still simple, but cute.

To see the other two cards for this class, please click here and here. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, April 23rd, 11 am to 2 pm (only one spot left!!!)
Thursday, April 23rd, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Saturday, May 23rd, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

If you can't make it to the class but would like to make these three cards, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 during the business hours to purchase a Class Kit.

This card measures 4 1/2" x 6".

The daisies were made with Marvy Pink and Blue scallop circle punches. I cut into every single scallop towards the center. For the centers of the flowers I punched out 3/4" circles and then embossed them with Cuttlebug (don't remember the name of this folder). To make the vase I punched out the circle with the Pink Marvy punch and then cut off the top and the bottom. Easy!!

Background paper is by My Minds Eye and the polka dot paper is from Bo Bunny. There are two rows of ric rak ribbon on the vase and the buttton with the greens (Martha Steward punch).

Hugs!!

Tilda and Edwin Chasing Butterflies

Only two days left to enter into my Blog Candy, don't miss out!! Here is the link.

The very first time I saw new Magnolia Butterfly Collection stamps, I knew that I would use this running Tilda and Edwin together on the card.. Aren't they just too adorable running in the field of flowers together??!! Love these new images!!

This will be one of the cards for my upcoming "Butterfly Tilda" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile.

This card measures 6" x 6"..

Beautiful designer paper is by My Minds Eye. Circles were cut and embossed with Nestabilites. Corners are the punch from Fiskars called Fancy Photo Corners. Small flowers in the corners were punched out twice with the Marvy punch and then layered. Pearls in the centers of the flowers and in the scallops are from Making Memories. Tilda, Edwin and the Butterflies were colored with Copic Markers. All of the images are raised on pop up dots. I stamped the same butterfly images in yellow ink on the yellow circle behind Edwin and Tilda, you'll have to click on photos above to enlarge to be able to see it..

I also stamped the same butterflies in the yellow ink on the white layer inside of the card. The big yellow butterfly inside of the card is the Cuttlebug die cut.

All the stamps used to design this card (Tilda, Edwin and the Butterflies) are available for purchase at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. You can order them online, here is the link (FREE shipping with the purchase of two or more stamps) or you can call the store during the business hours at 408-736-9151 to place your order.

This card measures 6" x 6"..

I am still on a kick of making cards with punches ;-) .. I made the front of this card to look like a flower in the pot, and on the inside I tried to make it look like a window.. What do you think?

I used Dahlia Fold technique to make the flower, I just love the dimension this flower has!! The leafs were made with Marvy Scalloped heart punches. The base of the flower pot was embossed with Cuttlebug, the scallops were done with Fiskars border punch. The leafs behind the button and on the inside of the card are the Martha Stewart punch. The absolutely GORGEOUS designer paper is by Studio 45.

Coolest thing since the Sliced Bread

Well, almost the coolest thing.. At least I think so.. You know how I asked you all to number your comments for the Blog Candy.. and you know how it gets all confusing when a few people leave comments at the same time and/or when some of you forget to number the comment.

Tonight I received an email from Melanie with the link to directions on how to number the comments on the blog from Sharla's Blog. I just followed the step-by-step instructions and VIOLA!! all the comments on my blog now have the number next to them!!!

Thank you so much Melanie for letting me know about it!! And, of course, HUGE thank you to Sharla for making the tutorial!!

Hugs!!

Flower Pot Card

Before I start with this post I wanted to remind you about my Blog Candy.. Don't forget to enter, details here.

I have seen tons of this type of cards on Splitcoaststampers lately and decided to try to make one too. I especially liked this card made by Lesa. I have had a lot of fun making this card and really like how it has turned out.

This will be one of the cards for my upcoming "April Showers bring May Flowers" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. We will make three cards in this class, all different designs. This class is scheduled for:

Thursday, April 23rd, 11 am to 2 pm
Thursday, April 23rd, 4:30 pm to 7:30 pm
Saturday, May 23rd, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up.

If you can't make it to the class but would like to make these three cards, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 during the business hours to purchase a Class Kit.

I changed the dimension of the card to fit the large flowers that I made. This card will fit in 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" envelope. I used Lesa's tutorial found here to make the flowers, but I used Marvy Scalloped Heart punches instead of Nestabilites. The leafs were made with the same punches as the petals for the flowers. Dew Drops in the center of the flowers. Martha Steward punch for the scallops on the flower pot. Cuttlebug Embossing Folder on the bottom part of the flower pot. The tag was cut and embossed with Nestabilites.

:) Irina
