Special Notes Handmade Notebook / Art Journal



One more handmade book/journal!!  YAY!!  :-)  This one is a bit more sophisticated, larger in size and with more pages then the one with Sitting Marci from a few weeks ago (here).

Pretty in Craft

I admit, I really LOVE craft cardstock and have been using it on the majority of my projects lately!  There is just something about it..  Some understated beauty.. Especially when it's distressed with Vintage Photo ink!!  I love making monochromatic cards with it (like the one I posted yesterday) and to combine it with other colors and papers.  For today's projects used Craft cardstock along with Black!!  I think it is a very striking combination!! 

Once again I can't decide which card I like more out of these two..  They are so different and both are beautiful in its' own way!!

First card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2". 
I LOVE how the black silhouette stands out on the craft cardstock!!  Doesn't it look like a vintage Cameo?

Celebrate your Day


I just LOVE how these cards turned out!!  It is the same design as you can see, I just used different color cardstock and distressed it with different color inks.  I don't even know if I have a favorite one of two, I love them just the same!!  :-)

Hello and Welcome to our Tutorial Thursday!! 

 I would like to share a Copic Coloring Video Tutorial with you!!   In this Tutorial I will show you how I colored our Marci with Rose for the card below. 


I made this tutorial awhile back and my coloring style has since changed a bit, but it is still a good fundamental tutorial and I hope it helps some of you to learn how to color our images.  This is a two-part tutorial and I am sharing both parts of it with you today.

Part 1 - Skin, Hair, Dress




Part 2 - Hat, Shoes, Rose, Grass




  Marci with Rose was stamped with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on Neenah Crest Solar White cardstock.  

Colored with Copic Markers:
Skin - E000, E00, E01
Hair - E50, YR20, E33, E35
Dress - BV0000, BV000, BV01
Hat, Shoes, Rose - Y21, Y23, Y26, Y28
Hat Band - E40
Rose Stem, Leaves - YG91, YG93

Altered Art Journal

WHEW!!  It took me awhile to finish this Altered Art Journal project!!  TONS of FUN though!!  There are so many different elements in this Journal from various companies including Pink Paisley, Tim Holtz, Tattered Angels, Martha Stewart, EK Success and MORE!!  I took a lot of pictures to give you an idea of what it looks like and also a little video to get a better feel of it :-)

This Journal might look somewhat small on the photos, but it is actually pretty BIG!!  The album measures 6" x 12"!!
