Dear Santa, Define Good

This is a pretty simple card, but I just love this Santa image and wanted to keep the card simple to have the image stand out.

This is the second card for my "Whipper Snapper Santa" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To see the first card, please click here.

This card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Santa was stamped with Memento ink twice and colored with Copic Markers. Santa's head, hands, shoes and the list are popped up on dimensionals. There is Diamond Glaze on his shoes, and gold brads for the buttons. I sponged with yellow ink around the image.

Corners were punched out and I added gold dots with Gold Zig Painty.

Both stamps on this card, the Santa image and the greeting are from Whipper Snapper.

Believe in the Magic of the Season

I got back from Carson Monday night and got back to teaching classes on Tuesday. Busy-busy-busy :-). I will tell you more about the Carson show and will post some photos in a few days.

Today I wanted to show you one of the cards for my upcoming "Whipper Snapper Santa" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. I will show you the other card for this class tomorrow.

This card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

I love-love-love this Santa stamp from Whipper Snapper, isn't he just too cute?!! I stamped the image with Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Copic Markers. Stamped snowflakes with Blue Sky Memento around Santa image. I stamped the same snowflakes with White Pigment ink on the red cardstock.

Added Crystal Effects to Santa's belt and his shoes. For the snow on the chimney and under Santa's feet, I put on some Crystal Effect and then sprinkled on some glitter. This way there is dimension and also the sparkle on the card. There are Stickles on the snowflakes around Santa.

Both ovals for the greeting were punched out with Marvy punches, blue for the oval and the pink one for the scalloped oval.

The greeting and the snowflakes stamps are by Lizzie Anne Designs.

This class is scheduled for:

Friday, November 28th, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Saturday, November 29th, 11 am to 2:30 pm

To sign up for the class, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151.

Bobblehead Birthday Elephant

This card was so much fun to make. It is not really in "my" colors, but I like how it turned out. Bright and Fun!!

This card measures 6" x 6".

The Elephant was stamped twice on white cardstock and colored with Copic Markers. I then used Nestabilites and cut out the circle shape with the Elephant in the center. From the second stamped image I cut out his head only and attached it to the main layer with a spring. I made my spring by curling the thin wire around the pencil. And I got myself a bobblehead Elephant!!!

For the balloon I punched out the circle, colored it with Orange Copic Marker and then heat embossed with a layer of UTEE.

The elephant stamp is by Whipper Snapper, the greeting on the balloon is by Penny Black and the presents inside are from Magnolia (Tilda).

This will be one of the cards for my "Happy Birthday" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile . This class is scheduled for

Thursday, October 23rd, 11 am to 2:30 pm
Thursday, October 23rd, 5 pm to 8 pm

To sign up for the class please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151.

Whipper Snapper Snowmen

I guess this is what happens when you teach classes.. One day you make Halloween cards and the next day jump right into Christmas :-).

I love, love, love these cute snowmen from Whipper Snapper. Don't they just make you smile?

Both cards measure 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

First card is pretty simple, but I really like the layout. Used Snowflake Cuttlebug Embossing folder on the white layer. Snowman (or is he a snowball?) was colored with Copic Markers, added some Stickles and Gold Brads for the buttons. The greeting is from the clear stamp set by Hero Arts.

Second card is the Shaker Box style. The white layer was embossed with Cuttlebug Snowflake embossing folder. The opening in the red layer and the blue scallop around it were cut with Nestabilites. There are light blue glass microbeads inside of the shaker box, fun!! Snowman was colored with Copic markers and I stamped little snowflakes from Magnolia around him. I also stamped the same snowflakes on the white layer inside of the card. The greeting inside of the card is from the clear stamp set by Hero Arts.

I will be teaching a class with these cards at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. The class is scheduled for:

Sunday, October 19th, 11:30 am to 2:30 pm
Tuesday, October 21st, 11 am to 2 pm

To sign up for the class, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151.

Witchy Tilda

One more Tilda card today with another new stamp from the Halloween and Fall Collection. Actually, I used two new stamps on this card, Tilda stamp and the Web.

This is a 6" x 6" card.

Tilda was colored with Copic Markers. If you enlarge the photo (just click on it), you'll see that there are orange Stickles on her hair and Crystal Effects on Tilda's hat, boots and also on the spider. I sponged purple ink around the image.

The web was heat embossed with black Embossing Powder and then I added orange Stickles over the embossed lines for the sparkle.

The greeting is from Whipper Snapper. After I stamped the greeting, I outlined the letters with purple Copic Marker and then added orange Stickles on the top. The spider on the greeting has been covered with Crystal Effects. Sponged the purple and black ink around the greeting. Both ovals (plain and the scalloped) were cut with Nestabilites.

Inside of the card I stamped the same web image and sponged some purple ink around the edges.

All supplies used on this card, including Tilda stamps, are available at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. If you can't stop by the store, please call the store at 408-736-9151 to purchase the stamps and they will be shipped to you.

Halloween Swing Card

I've seen these type of cards before and always wanted to make one. I don't know why I waited, it was so easy to make and so much fun.

The first photo is the front view of the card.

The photo below shows you how the card looks like pulled out open.

Close -up of the image above.

This is the back view of the card.

For this card I used Whipper Snapper stamps again. I just love this cat!! And how about the post sign, isn't is just adorable?! The post and the greeting ("keep out") are two separate stamps. I think the post would also look really cute on the back of any Halloween greeting card to sign your name on.

The spider web is the part of the stamp by Penny Black, I used it on the card here. It has a mouse hanging from the spider web, so for this card I only inked the web part. The spiders are the Die Cuts from Cuttlebug.

This will be the second card for my Halloween Card Class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. Class is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th, 11 am to 2:30 pm. To sign up for the class, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151.

Pumpkins, Bats and a Cat

I made this card for my upcoming Halloween class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. I think this will be the last Halloween class of the season.

This is a pop-up style card. I had hard time taking photos of it, I hope you can see the details. I kept the front of the card simple, but when you open the card there is a folded triangle there that pops out for a little surprise.

The moon was sponged with yellow and orange inks by Memento. I also sponged around the whole perimeter of the inside layer for the spooky look.

The bats are Cuttlebug Die Cut and Emboss combo. I only adhered the bodies of the bats to the cards, not the wings.

The pumpkins and the cat stamps are by Whipper Snapper, the greeting is from Imagenisce. Images were colored with Copic Markers.

I already made the second card for this class, it is a Swing style. I will show it to you tomorrow.

This class is scheduled for Tuesday, October 7th, 11 am to 2:30 pm. To sign up for the class, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151.
