One more Sarah Kay card

This is the second card for my "Introducing Sarah Kay" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To view the first card, please see the post below or click here.

The card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". I kept the layout simple to make the image stand out. I love layering with the same printed paper, it gives the card that pop without overpowering with too many prints and colors ( I think..) .

This image is my absolute favorite from Sarah Kay (so far..). I just love that big hat and the little chicks, so adorable!! Just like on the card that I made yesterday, the image was colored with Copic Markers and then colored over with just a bit of pearlascent watercolors to add some shimmer. Oval was cut and embossed with Nestabilites.

The border on the bottom of the card as well as the corners are the Cuttlebug Die Cuts. Printed paper is by BoBunny.

This class is scheduled for Tuesday, October 14th, 11 am to 2:30 pm. To sign up for the class, please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151.

My first card with Sarah Kay image

Oh, I really enjoyed making this card!! I just LOVE this image, the girl is just so beautiful!!

The card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

I picked the pink and green shimmery paper from the Paper Company for this card. On the right side of the green layer I used the Fiskars punch to create the scallops.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and then I went over with the pearlasent watercolors to add some shimmer. The background around the image was colored with the Copic marker as well. There are white liquid pearls in the centers of the flowers on the stamped image, and pearl dew drops in the centers of the silk flowers. The border on the left side of the image was made with Cuttlebug die.

I am very pleased with the way this card has turned out. It looks so much better in real life with all the shimmer and the pearls. Oh, and did you notice? she has red hair ;-) .

All supplies used on this card, including the stamp are available at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. There are many more of Sarah Kay, Rachelle Anne Miller and Magnolia (Tilda) stamps available at the store. If you do not live in the area, give the store a call at 408-736-9151 to purchase the stamps and they will be shipped to you.
