I have been published!!!

Finally I can tell you which card of mine made it to CardMaker Magazine!! I received a package from them a few days ago with two March 2010 issues, and my card is featured on page 20 :-)

When I first heard from the publisher, I was in a way disappointed that they picked this card for publication.. This is one of the simplest cards I made, and I wished that they would have chosen some of the other cards.. But, it did get me noticed!!! In the next issue there will be two cards of mine, and in the issue after that - FOUR!!! Needless to say, I am EXCITED!!!!

Oh, and here is the link to CardMaker magazine website.. My card is even featured in the "Current Issue" highlights!!!

Spotlight Techinque

I made a card today with a Spotlight Technique.. Can you believe I have never done of these before? Weird.. but true.. I LOVE the effect of this technique though..

Tuesday, February 9th, 12 pm to 3pm
Sunday, Feburary 14th, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please bring your Cuttlebug (if you own one), your favorite dry adhesive and foam tape (pop-up dots) to the class. All other supplies will be provided.

The stamp is from Magenta, it does not have the name on the stamp but the number 40300.O . Circles were cut with Nestabilites. I used textured cardstock for image and the "spotlight" circle, the image was heat embossed in black and colored with Pearlacent watercolors. EK Success corner punch. Both the lace and the ribbon are from Webster Pages.. By the way, we had ordered some absolutely gorgeous new Webster Pages paper from CHA!!!
