Pink Box

This month's theme for my Stamp Club was "Pink" in honor of the Breast Cancer Awareness Month. This is what I came up with, I made an altered card box.

I used various silk flowers that can be found at any craft store, various "vintage" buttons and the tile letters on the front of the box. Inside (unfortunately I did not take a photo of it) there is a tag adhered to the lid that reads: "an empty box and a clean house are the signs of a lazy crafter" ;-).

Don't forget about my Blog Candy, only a few days left to enter!! Details on the post above or click here.

Silly Grapes - Thanks a Bunch!!

I made this card for my Stamping Group. The theme was Grapes, and I didn't have any grape stamps. I had an idea of making a cluster of grapes with the circle punches, but wanted the card to be kind of silly because in our stamping group we are there to enjoy each others company and to have fun. Then I came across this card, it was just PERFECT. Here is my take on it..

I used 1/2" circle punch and punched out a bunch of circles from three different shades of purple cardstock. I inked the sides of each circle with the brown marker. Placed the circles on the card in the shape of the grape cluster. Then used the brown marker to draw the faces. I used White Gel pen to add highlights to the grapes.

The leafs were cut out from the Cuttlebug Pumpkin die and emboss combo. The grid embossing on the green cardstock was done with the Scor-Pal, I then added white dots with the White Gel pen. Corners are the punch from Stampin' Up and I hand drew the doodles on them. The greeting is from Changito clear stamp set by Stampendous.

I had this little lady bug button sitting on my table.. I thought it was silly enough to be included in the card..

I really enjoyed making this card, and it made me smile every time I would look at it. Love, love, love those silly little grapes. Such a happy card it turned out to be!!

A*Muse*A*Palooza Make-and-Take

OK, I am not really Amuse kind of girl, I love this clear stamp set with the birds though.. I am pretty sure I've told you already and most likely you've noticed that from my recent cards as well, I am soooo into birds this year!!

Isn't this just ADORABLE?!

I created this project for the A*Muse*A*Palooza event at Cranberry Hill Mercantile that will be happening on the second week of July. It will be the whole week even, and there will be different things going on every day.

I will have everything pre-cut and pre-scored, and the ladies will put together this adorable "purse" and three cards. There will be two color choices available, blue and green.

The purse is made out of one sheet of 8.5" x 11" cardstock. All paper and stamps are from Amuze. I used paper ribbon from Daisy Bucket for the handles and put two dew drops on each side of the handle. I love-love-love the dew drops!!

Isn't it a great gift idea? It would look great on your or your recipient's desk!! And, when you send the cards out, use the "purse" as a pen/pencil holder (yes, it is sturdy enough!!) or find some other uses for it.

If you live near Cranberry Hill Mercantile, stop by to make one or more :-) . Your choice of blue or green color "purse".

Tuesday, July 8th 3 pm to 5:30 pm
Wednesday, July 9th 11 am to 4 pm

Please call the store at (408) 736-9151 to sign up, quantities are limited!!

Coaster Album - Photo Frame

There is an event that will be going on this Saturday at Cranberry Hill Mercantile from 11 am till 4 pm. It's called "What's in the Box" to celebrate a new release of stamps and paper from Memory Box.

I've designed these little chipboard coaster albums - photo frames for a "Make-and-Take". Each album consist of three chipboard coasters that are held together by the ribbon. On the first photo you can see three different designs of the closed albums. The second photo shows the open view of the one in the middle. And, yes, that is me and my DH on the photos :-) .

Reservation for this event is not required, just stop by at any time between 11 am and 4 pm. However, if you have a color preference and would like one (or more ;) ) to be saved for you, please call store at 408-736-9151 to sign up.
The cost of the project is $7.00 and you can make as many as you like (until we run out..) .

I also designed these simple cards for the sample board with the new stamps and paper from Memory Box. There will be a FREE "Make-and-Take" for some of these cards during the event.

Oh, and there also will be a drawing for a "mystery" box with $200 in stamping products in it!!

Flower Pots and Purses

Good morning,

Today I would like to share two cards that I created by using Tab Punch from Stampin' Up. Both cards measure 5 1/2" x 4 1/4".

On the "Celebrate" card I punched Cool Caribbean cardstock with the Tab Punch three times, stamped it with Canvas Background stamp to create the textured look, and folded in half. For the flaps, I punched three ovals with the Large Oval Punch and folded not quite in half (half was just a bit too long). Attached flap to the "purse" and used Gold Zig pen to add "stitching". Placed small Prima flower with the gold brad on the bottom of the flap. Then added gold cord for the handle.

For the "Thank you" card I used the same Tab Punch, but this time I punched Brushed Gold cardstock. I then ran it through my Cuttlebug to add texture. Stamped flower stamps, placed my "flower pots" over them on dimensionals. Attached Bazzil Flowers with glue dots and then placed buttons in the centers.

These cards are simple and were fast and easy to make, but they definitely have the "wow" effect. Enjoy!

Eureka Cat

OK, I know I said that I am into birds this year. But how adorable is this cat?! I just love his eyes, just look at him!

The cat stamp is a three-stamp set, the cat and each paw are the separate stamps. I colored the image with Stampin Up watercolor crayons, and added Crystal Effects to his eyes. Background stamp (little dots) is from Background Sampler stamp set by Stampin Up. Flower stem and the leaves were hand drawn and then cut out. Layered flower is made with various flowers from Bazzil and Prima, and there is a gold brad in the center.

This card is available for sale in my Ebay Store.

I am teaching this class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile today. Have to run..

Till tomorrow..
