Quick One

Just a quick post today. I am teaching a class at Cranberry Hill , no time to stamp..

Here is what we are making at the class today. These cards are just GORGEOUS!! Photos really don't do them any justice.

I just love how elegant the cards look in white/gold and white/copper and how embossing with metallic embossing powders looks on metallic paper. And Nestabilites are a total step up in the card making, love-love-love.

Both cards feature stamps by Hero Arts, heat embossing and cutting/embossing with Nestabilites. White, gold and copper paper by Bazzil (can be found at Cranberry Hill).

Let me know what you think or if you have any questions.

Have to run now...
Thanks!!
Irina

Oh, just one more thing.... Cranberry Hill got a new shipment of Nestabilites a few days ago!!! Get them before they are gone again...

-----------------

Edited to add... I was asked to share how I made these cards. No secrets here, read on..

Let's start with the first card. The card base - white Bazzil cardstock measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" scored at 5 1/4". First layer is Copper cardstock from Bazzil, measures 5" x 5". Second layer is white cardstock again, measure 4 3/4" x 4 3/4". This layer was first masked and I used the stipple brush to add the color from the inkpad, then without removing the mask, I stamped the flower on the right side. After that (removed the mask now), I heat embossed the same flower on the left side with Copper Embossing Powder. Next, I used Nestabilites Classic Rectangular with my Cuttlebug, and embossed on the front of the card. I cut and embossed scalloped and regular oval, and heat embossed the greeting (Clear Stamp set from Hero Arts). The greeting is raised on dimensionals. That's it!!

Now, the second card. The card base is the same, white Bazzil cardstock measures 5 1/4" x 10 1/2" scored at 5 1/4". First layer is Gold cardstock from Bazzil, measures 4 1/2" x 4 1/2". Second layer is white cardstock, measures 4 1/4" x 4 1/4". This layer was embossed with Classic Squares Nestabilites. Next is the 3" x 3" layer of Gold cardstock and the white cardstock on the top of it measures 2 3/4" x 2 3/4" . The Gold cardstock that the image is stamped on was first cut and embossed with Classic Squares Nestabilites and then the image was heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder. The three smaller squares on the front of the card are raised on dimensionals. And, that's it!! Easy!!!

All supplies used on these cards were purchased at Cranberry Hill Mercantile.
