My first card with Sarah Kay image

Oh, I really enjoyed making this card!! I just LOVE this image, the girl is just so beautiful!!

The card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

I picked the pink and green shimmery paper from the Paper Company for this card. On the right side of the green layer I used the Fiskars punch to create the scallops.

The image was colored with Copic Markers and then I went over with the pearlasent watercolors to add some shimmer. The background around the image was colored with the Copic marker as well. There are white liquid pearls in the centers of the flowers on the stamped image, and pearl dew drops in the centers of the silk flowers. The border on the left side of the image was made with Cuttlebug die.

I am very pleased with the way this card has turned out. It looks so much better in real life with all the shimmer and the pearls. Oh, and did you notice? she has red hair ;-) .

All supplies used on this card, including the stamp are available at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. There are many more of Sarah Kay, Rachelle Anne Miller and Magnolia (Tilda) stamps available at the store. If you do not live in the area, give the store a call at 408-736-9151 to purchase the stamps and they will be shipped to you.

Precious!! I love the colors used with the pearlescents. Can't wait to take this class and see the other card you'll be using. The painter maybe?
