I cut my card from green cardstock and scored as usual, and then created the top layer with the oval opening (used Nestabilites to cut the oval).
Birthday Chickens and the sentiment stamps are from Penny Black, background stamp is from Hero Arts. Colored with Copic Markers.
This will be one of the cards for my upcoming class.
Tuesday, July 29th 11 to 2 (pre-cut)
Sunday, August 3rd, 11:30 to 2:30

Hi Irina,
You showed us one of these in class last week. So cute. Can't wait to see the second.
Is the extra money for the pre-cutting?
Can't keep up with your imagination.
Hugs,
Sylvia
I have a question about the Wizard and Nestabilities. I bought the Sizzix machine a few years ago and haven't used it much because it's so narrow it's difficult to cut out windows like you have with these ADORABLE shadow box cards. Do you use the Wizard? How wide can your paper be and still fit through the machine? In the pictures it looks like the yellow paper with the oval window is pretty wide.
Sorry to ask so many questions but we don't have any good scrapbooking/card making stores in my area and I don't want to make another costly mistake!
Thanks!
Hi Julia,
I use Nestabilites with my Cuttlebug machine.
Did you know that the Nestabilites and the Wizard machine are made by the same company, Spellbinders!! You should definitely try it!!
My shadow box cards measure 5 1/4" x 4 1/4".
Hope this helps..
:) Irina
Thanks for the info! The Cuttlebug doesn't look very wide but obviously it's bigger than it looks if you were able to make those cards with it. I've been looking at the Wizard but it's about twice as expensive as the Cuttlebug so I might go that direction.
Thanks again!
