you're No.1 - Wallet Card

Why is it so hard to make cards for men??? It is almost as hard as to shop for them.. Why can't they be more like us ;-)

This is the second card (kind of like a card) for my upcoming "Father's Day" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. We will make three cards in this class. I am still working on the third card. To see the first card, please scroll down to the post below or click here. This class is scheduled for:

Sunday, May 31st, 12 pm to 3 pm
Tuesday, June 2nd, 12 pm to 3 pm

Please bring your favorite adhesive to the class. All other supplies will be provided.

The cost of this class is $30.00

If you can't make it to the class and/or would like to make more then one set, the Class Kits will be available. The Class Kit will include all materials, the stamped images and the photos of the cards. The cost of the Class Kit is $35.00.

Please call Cranberry Hill Mercantile at 408-736-9151 to sign up for the class and/or to purchase the Class Kit/s.

This "card" measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

I have seen so many of these "wallets" on Splitcoaststampers, but have not tried to make one until today. I have changed the size of mine though, I though it would be nice to make it bigger so you can fit more "stuff" into it :-).. The wallet has five pockets. You can put whatever you want in those pockets.. photos of the kids, notes, gift cards, cash, etc.. In the class, we will make a small card with the greeting that you see on the photos. Sorry, cash will not be included ;-)

I sponged textured Bazzill Cardstock to give it even more texture and to make it look like leather. Faux stitching was done with Tim Holtz ruler, I used SU brown marker to connect the dots.

The label on the front was made with oval and circle punches. Both of the sentiments, on the front of the card and on the small card inside, are from the Lizzie Anne Designs stamp set called "A Men's Sole".

I think this wallet would make a great card not only for Father's Day but for any other occasion (Birthday, Christmas, Graduation, etc..).

Hugs!!
:) Irina

That is so cool! I too find it so hard to create masculine cards, this is a really neat idea!

I was at Cranberry when Nicole called you several times, but did not dare ask for the phone since I understood you were not feeling well. I hope you are OK now. See you on Sunday . I like both ideas for father's day. I'll give them to my son-in-law since the father "figure" had never been in the picture of my life.......Love, doina
