Christmas Tag and Gift Card Holder - Set 3

This is the last set of the Gift Tag and the Gift Card Holder for my upcoming (this Tuesday!!) class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. To see the previous sets, please click here and here.

I really like how this set has turned out, it has such a soft look..


Gift Card Holder measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".



Gift Tag Measures 4" x 6".


On this set I used printed paper from Imaginisce and "Open Poinsettia Set" stamps from Stampendous. The poinsettias were heat embossed with the red embossing powder and then watercolored with the ink from the red inkpad, red dew drops in the centers. The scallops on the borders were made with Fiskars border punch.

I wanted to show you this photo of my grand niece in the "sleigh" pulled by the "reindeer" :-) .She is four months old now and is the most adorable baby (of course)!!

Polished Stone Butterfly

"In those times I can't seem to find God, I rest in the assurance He knows how to find me."

Isn't this just beautiful, I just love this sentiment from "Refuge and Strength" stamp set by Stampin' Up.



Flower stamp is from Stampendous. I stamped the image once, and then stamped it two more times without re-inking. The sentiment was heat embossed with Detail Black embossing powder.

I used two colors in purple family for Polished Stone technique. Nowadays, I rarely use metallic inks with this technique, this way you don't even need to use the sealant. Butterfly from Stampin' Up retired set "Wonderful Wings" was stamped in Stazon and then cut out. The butterfly is raised on pop-up dots.

I never thought that purple is my favorite color and I still don't. Somehow though I keep on making purple cards lately.. I think I like the dramatic effect of purple with black. And, I really LOVE how this card has turned out.

Black Magic Peony

Edited to add.. Julia, I have updated the link for the Splitcoaststampers below.

This is not the first time this had happened to me.. See, I scheduled the "Black Magic" class about a month in advance and was getting ready to make card samples for the class. And, guess what was the technique challenge on the Splitcoaststampers on Monday? You got it, Black Magic!! Weird, huh?

Anyways, here is my card.

The card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4". The stamp is by Stampendous, I just love this Peony!! Because it is an outline stamp with so many open areas, it is just perfect for this technique. I stamped the image on the black cardstock with White Pigment ink and colored with Prisma Pencils. Corners are from Cuttlebug.

There will be another card for this class. I am already working on it..

Farmer Edwin?

Here is the card that I made today for my "Fall Tilda and Edwin" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. For the card with Tilda please see my previous post.

I got these Edwin and the Hay stamps from Diana Crick, thank you Diana!!

This card measures 6"x 6".

I stamped the hay image three times, and sat Edwin on the top of the stack. I put pop-up dots under his head and under his feet, and the rest of his body is glued to the card. I like how it gives his dimension, but still looks like he is sitting on stack of hay.

Both pumpkins were stamped, colored and then cut out. You would never guess what stamp I used to add dots to the pumpkins as well as the orange cardstock layer.. The flower center from the Ruffled Bloom Set by Stampendous (please see the first photo above)!! Isn't that just so clever of me? ;-)

Clouds behind Edwin were sponged with Blue Sky Memento ink using the punched out scalloped oval as a template.

I didn't take picture of the inside of the card, but there is a white layer with two stamped pumpkins in orange ink.

All images were stamped with Memento ink and then colored with Copic Markers. I just love Memento ink, it doesn't smear when you color and dries instantly.

I used my new toy, Score-Pal, on this card also. See the embossed border around the main layer? I just love how it adds dimension to the card, almost like Nestabilites..

Shadow Box Monkey

This is the second card for my upcoming "Shadow Box" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile (for the first card please see my previous post or click here).

This card was done the same way as the one with Birthday Chickens.

Cute-cute-cute Monkey stamp is from Whipper Snapper. The greeting is from Hero Arts. The palm leaves are from clear stamp set with Changito by Stampendous.

Does it look like he is holding the circle tag with the greeting?? At least this is what I was going for ;-)

On the photo below, I was trying to show you how this card opens. Hope this makes sense..

Stampendous Blooms

Good morning,

Here are the cards that I designed for yet one more Card Making Class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile..

I just LOVE this big bold flower stamp!! I think it is so versatile!!

First card: Stamped the flower, colored it with re-inker and then added stickles. Simple card, but looks quite stunning in real life..

Second card: Used gold metallic paper on the front of the card. Heat embossed flowers on colored cardstock, cut them out and arranged on the front of the card, greeting is heat embossed as well. Punched the corner out of black cardstock and added dots with the Gold Zig painty.

Third card: Stamped flower, cut it out and added stickles. Cut out the stem by hand and added ribbon (for the leaves). Pierced blue layer.

Edited to add... The flower stamps used on these cards are from Stampendous, the "Happy Birthday" sentiment on the first card is from Printworks, the "have a Fabulous Birthday" sentiment on the second card is from Hero Arts, the "thank you" sentiment on the third card is from Stampendous..

Tri-fold Happy Bees - Card 2

So here is the second "Happy Bees" card for my new Card Making Class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. At this class we will making tri-fold cards.

All the stamps except the greeting on the inside of the card are from Stampendous. The greeting inside of the cards is from Hero Arts.

Black scalloped circle and the bright pink circle were cut with Nestabilites. I outlined the scallops on the black circle with the gold side of the Zig Painty pen.

Added color to bees and the flower with Copic markers.

I cut out the flower that the bees are holding, put a black brad in the center and raised it on pop-up dot.

There are stickles on bees' wings..

Tri-fold Happy Bees - Card 1

This is one of the cards for my new Card Making Class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile. At this class we will making tri-fold cards.

I created this card using the Joy Fold. Please see photos below for the open view of the card.

I stamped flowers on the pink, blue and white layers with the coordinating ink colors using the Flower Cube from Stampendous. The bees on the front of the card, the bee on the front of the envelope and the sentiment inside of the card, are all from Stampendous as well.

The flowers corners were done using the Cuttlebug die-cut.

The bees were colored with my Copic Markers.

I am working on the second card for this class, and will share it with you within a couple of days.

Clearly Changito

Good morning all,

Sorry I've been off-line for a few days.. Had to take care of some family matters...

Today I will share with you a couple of cards with Changito from Stampendous. I kept the cards fairly simple to showcase this cutest monkey. Most of the stamps used on the cards are from the Clear Stamp set, the monkeys on the first card are the wood mounted stamps.

Have you noticed that I used the same monkey image on the second and third cards?? On the second card Changito is walking and holding bananas bunch high in his hand. And, on the third card my Changito is swinging from the brunch.

The palm leaves are from the same stamp set. I stamped the palm leaves on the envelopes as well as inside of the cards. I just love when everything coordinates!!

I am teaching today at Cranberry Hill... Will be back tomorrow to show you more of my new projects, I promise..

Stampendous Flowers

Good morning,

Today I want to share a few cards that I've designed with the Ruffled Flowers from Stampendous.

All cards measure 5 1/5" x 4 1/4" and have the same color combination.

The base is River Rock cardstock from Stampin' Up, and I used Basic Black and Brushed Gold for the layers. The flowers were heat embossed with Gold Embossing Powder on Pretty in Pink, Bashful Blue and Cameo Coral, and then cut out. "Celebrate" and "Thank You" sentiments are from Stampin' Up and the Birthday sentiment is from Hero Arts. Sentiments were heat embossed with Detailed Black Embossing Powder.

Fabriano Panda

Good morning,

Here is a pretty simple one layer card that I've made with one of my favorite stamps from Stampendous.



I stamped the image on the gorgeous Fabriano card. If you haven't used or seen Fabriano cards, they are a top notch Italian Watercolor cards. You can actually feel the quality of the paper. Once you use one of these, it's very hard to use anything less of the quality. I stamped the image with Stazon ink and colored bamboo with Twinkling H2O's, then I applied some Fun Flock. I punched out the circle on the scrap piece of paper and used it as reverse mask to color in the "sun". Sentiment is from Stampin' Up set called Curvy Verses.


I just love it when I can make a statement with a simple card like that.

This is my FIRST blog and the VERY FIRST posting!!! I am so excited to be here!!!

I've created this blog to keep my friends in the know on what happening in my world of paper crafting.
