Winter Marci Gift Set

When people say "I would love to see what's going on in your head", I usually say jokingly "no, you don't" ..  I have SO MANY ideas in my head right now for the projects for my upcoming Workshop, it's getting hard to concentrate ;-)

For details about my Workshop please see THIS POST.  To see more samples please click HERE..

I would like to remind you that this Workshop is by invitation ONLY!!  If you have not received an email from me with information about the Workshop and would like to attend, please send me your email address and I will email you an Evite invitation.

Please email me if you would like to join my Workshop and if you have ANY questions  :-)

I had an idea of making a Gift Set for us to make at the Workshop.. A versatile one, with some pockets.. I was so proud of myself for creating my own template for the pockets!!  It is pretty cool how they have dimension and you can put so many different things in there!!

This Gift Set consists of a container with two pockets and a coordinating card. And, of course, you could use a card and the container separate..  The stamp is Winter Marci from La-La Land Crafts

Tag pulls out - you can write your message on the back :-)

See how you can make it a PERFECT gift for your stamping friends!!  You can make it as a coordinating assemble to hold the stamp in one of the pockets!!  I know, I know.. I am such an enabler ;-)

Now, onto the projects.. The first one is a card..

Oh my, this silly bear sure has a mind of his own!!  This card might look simple, but it took me a long time to put it together..  It might look like all the layers and the embellishments were just "slapped" onto the card, but believe me.. I tried so many different ways and this is how he {bear} wanted his card to be!!!!

This card measures 4 1/4" x 5 1/2".

Bear stamp from Whipper Snapper, stamped on craft cardstock and colored with Prisma pencils.  Sentiment is by Hero Arts.  Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  SU corner punch.

Here  is the other project I would like to share with you today.. We are going to make a few of Matchbook boxes at the Workshop.. Here are the samples, I made one of them more of a masculine one.. for boys and men in your life :-)   I sized Matchbook boxes to fit gift cards, which seem to be a most popular gift these days..  but there plenty room to put more than just a gift card in there!!

Pink Matchbook - October Afternoon designer paper.  Martha Stewart snowflake punch.  Tag stamp from Hero Arts.  Lace and ribbon.

Santa Matchbook - Webster Pages and October Afternoon designer paper.  Spellbinders snowflake - covered in crackle paint and covered in ultra fine glitter.  Hero Arts stamp.  Twine.

Frame It! Christmas

With me being SUPER BUSY with our new Marci and Luka line of stamps at La-La Land Crafts, it is harder and harder for me to find time to teach classes.  But I LOVE teaching classes SO MUCH as I get to spend time and share my ideas with people who are as crazy about paper crafts as me!!!

If you haven't heard yet, I am now going to have monthly Workshops!!
I will still teach some classes, but not as many as I used to...

In each Workshop we will work on different projects depending on the time of the year.  Since it is time to start working on Holiday projects, in my first Workshop we will be making everything Christmas!!  Cards, card holders, gift card holders, tags, various 3D projects, etc..

Christmas Workshop will be held in the large scrapbook room owned by Scrapbook Island in San Jose, CA on Sunday, November 14th. The room is not connected to the store, and is very private!! We will be there all day, from 10 am to 6 pm!! That is a whole 8 hours of lots of FUN!!! Snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided.

This Workshop is by invitation ONLY!!  If you have not received an email with information about the Workshops from me and would like to attend, please send me your email address and I will email you an Evite invitation.

At each workshop we will work as a group first on one of the larger projects and then we will split into the groups to work on other projects at different work stations.  The two cards that I have for you today, are for one of the stations, "Frame It!".  I will share the samples of the projects for this Workshop as soon as I make them :-)

I made this type of cards before and just LOVE this style.  I used two different Martha Stewart "punch around the corner" punches.  Frame on both cards embossed with Cuttlebug embossing folder.  Images and sentiments on both cards stamped with Distressed Inks and heat embossed with Clear embossing powder.  Sentiments on both cards are from Hero Arts.

This card measures 5 1/4" x 5 1/4".

Winter Scene stamp on the card above is the same stamp that I used on the card HERE.  Instead of using the entire stamp, this time I only stamped the parts of it for both front and inside of the card.  This stamp by Stampendous called Forest Cottage Scene.

This card measures 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".

Santa stamp on the card above is by Stamps Happen, it's called Jolly Santa.  Snowflakes inside of the card are from the same clear stamp set as the sentiment.

Please email me if you would like to join the Worksop and if you have ANY questions  :-)

Hugs!!
