Talk about being last minute!! I finished two cards late last night for my class.. didn't even have enough energy to take pictures.. Something else is keeping me very pre-occupied these days!! It is a BIG secret for now, but not much longer ;-) Come back to my blog tomorrow morning to find out what it is!!!

Now, back to today's card :-) This is one of the cards for my upcoming "JustRite by the Sea" card class at Cranberry Hill Mercantile in Sunnyvale, CA. We will make three cards in this class, all different designs. These cards feature one of the new stamp sets from JustRite called By the Sea (thus the name of the class, hehe!!). Oh my.. It took me a few days to get this card done, but I was determined to finish it TODAY!!! And, I am actually pleasantly surprised.. It turned out better than I expected, I think I even like it ;-)

Basic Grey metallic cardstock in dark gold and light gold. Tim Holtz embossing folder. Spellbinders Labels Ten and Petite Oval sets. EK Success corner punch. Lighthouse stamp is from JustRite set called By The Sea. Sentiment is from Amuse. Both the image and the sentiment were heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

Framed Just for You!!

I am very pleased with the way this card has turned out!! I wanted to try this punched art technique for awhile now.. Very pretty and delicate!!

I was going to make all the cards for this class a regular A2 size.. That was not happening for me today at all, as much as I tried.. So.. this card measures 5" x 5" :-) Still a square card, but smaller than my usual size.. I am going in the right direction, I guess.. I can do it!! I can do it!!!!

Elegant Note

I love this size of the cards, don't make them very often.. I decided to push and challenge myself a bit.. Even thought there are a lot of things going on on this card, I think it is still pretty simple. And it is simply elegant in monochromatic colors!! Again, photos really don't do this card a justice, it looks SO MUCH better in real life!!!

Yellow Roses

I think these are roses, but I am not sure.. whatever these flowers are they are sure very pretty :-) This is the first time EVER I had made the card in grey and yellow colors.. I really LOVE how this card has turned out!! BUT!!! For some reason I had hard time taking the photos of this card.. maybe I should've used dark blue background fabric instead of white? The close up photo shows the true colors of the card the best.. It is VERY PRETTY in real life!!!

JustRite Flowers

I have no idea what it is with me and the flower images.. As much as I enjoy seeing all the beautiful cards made with flower stamps, I sure have a really hard time making them!! Even from the days when I was a Stampin' Up demonstrator.. I remember buying (collecting) all the wonderful flowers stamp sets, but never using them.. But, this card has turned out better than I had expected.. I actually LIKE it!!!

I added ribbon under the lace to make it stand out more. Flowers and the Border are from JustRite set called Plant a Little Love. Flowers were colored with Copic Markers. Christmas Monogram Box

I had made this Monogram Boxed Card Set today.. This set will make a great Christmas gift. You can even use the cards yourself and then use the box to put another gift in it!!

This will be a project for my Make-and-Take at Cranberry Hill Mercantile in Sunnyvale, CA. This Make-and-Take is scheduled for:

Wednesday, December 9th, 11 am to 5 pm

You will make one box with the cards during this Make-And-Take. You will have a choice of the letters for the monogram. You will have the choice of the sentiments for your cards (or leave them blank). You will also have the option of making the box and the cards without the Monogram, with Poinsettias only.

The cost of this Make-And-Take as follows: Box with 3 cards for $20 or Box with 6 cards for $25.

The Kits are available until December 10th, $20 for the box with 3 cards and $25 for the box with 6 cards.

My card today is not for this week's challenge, it is not pink ;-) . Red and Blue is my favorite color combo for Christmas cards. I just finished this card and talk about it being a last minute thing!! This card is for my class at Cranberry Hill TONIGHT!! Candy Cane Clover (chicken) stamp is from La-La Land Crafts, you can buy it here. Fireplace stamp is from Magnolia, you can buy yours at Cranberry Hill Mercantile online store, here is the link. Sentiment is from JustRite Christmas stamp set.

I made this card into somewhat like a shadowbox card. Blue background was embossed with Snowflakes Cuttlebug embossing folder, cut out the circle in the middle with Nestabilites and made the scalloped frame to go around the opening. The blue layer is raised on the card with the fireplace showing in the opening. Fireplace was colored with Copic Markers and I also airbrushed around the fireplace.

Clover was stamped twice and colored with Copic Markers. Her wings and the Candy Cane are layered for a 3D effect, you might be able to see it when you enlarge the last photo (just click on it).

Gold Brads in the corners. Ribbon, button and gold twine adorn the top of the cirle. Stickles on the garland, the fire and the Candy Cane.

Designer paper is by Graphic 45. Sentiment is from JustRite set called Autumn Greetings. Ovals were cut with Nestabilites. Martha Stewart border punch. These cute turkeys are the stamp from Impression Obsession called Pilgrims. Turkeys were colored with Copic markers, cut out and popped onto the card. Copper brads in the corner of the card and also on the bottom of the sentiment oval.

I got an idea of putting the button with twine onto the top of the ribbon from my friend and La-La Land Design Team member Kathy. I have always admired that on Kathy's cards and now I am totally addicted!! Thanks Kathy!! Now.. speaking of ribbon..
